Better Presenting Skills Right Now
What if I told you that you could get better at presenting to audiences if you just knew a little bit more about them?
You’d likely agree with me. After all, like my friend Cory Miller says, you should never present to strangers.
But what if I told you that you could deliver a better presentation without knowing a soul in the room? Then you might have a bit more trouble believing me, right?
Except there’s one thing that every single person, regardless of race, gender, or experience, in the room will have in common.
They all have a brain.
I’m not saying that in a rude way. I’m completely serious. They’re all the same with regard to the fact that they all have a brain in their head, and that it controls them far more than you can imagine.
Tons of research, over the years, has completely redefined the landscape of what we know about the brain today. And the case I’d make to you, if we were sitting across from each other at a cafe, is that leveraging what we now know about the brain can make you a much better and much more effective presenter.
You’d tell me you aren’t great at presentation. And I would talk to you for hours.
